Aker Energy is now looking for a Project QA & Risk Lead.

The Project QA & Risk Lead provides quality management advice and acts as quality authority wherever required.

The position shall ensure that QA/QC is properly managed in the Pecan Project.

Responsibilities and tasks

  • Describe and deliver Quality Management information and requirements to the Project Team
  • Establish and maintain the Project Risk/Opportunity Register as directed by the Project Manager/ Project Director
  • Establish and follow-up project related quality KPI’s
  • Verify required interfaces between the Pecan Project and Contractor/Alliance’s Quality Plan as well as ensure adequate activities are defined
  • Plan and perform internal and external project QA audits
  • Follow-up on project experiences and lessons learned
  • Attend project meetings, criticality reviews, internal-/ fabricator-/ subcontractor meetings, etc. as required
  • Support the package responsible engineers, as required, in a quality advisory role while on site visits and in supplier meetings
  • Review Quality Management shortcomings, develop improvements and advise the Project Team on Quality Management related matters
  • Coordinate training in the Quality Management system and on the principles of quality
  • Manage Quality Assurance as required for project personnel

Qualifications & personal attributes

  • University Degree in a relevant discipline: Engineering, Scientific, Quality/Risk management or higher education
  • Minimum 10 years' of experience from an offshore related industry
  • Knowledge of, and working experience with, applicable regulations and industrial standards
  • Previous experience from offshore development projects in a Quality Management role
  • Experience with Risk Assessments and hazard identification
  • Certified Auditor (ISO, or similar) is preferred
  • Site and/or offshore experience
